"The Overkill Nut" derives its name for the excessive amount of knurl crammed into it. Beyond the six sides, you may notice the 4 additional holes. These holes are also knurled on the inside. Is it hard to see? Yes. Does it serve a function? No. Was it necessary? Yes! Here at Frogfits, we believe everything should be knurled to the extreme! So get a grip, and make your gym your own! The Overkill Nut offers a sweet sweet knurl on all 6 sides of the large hexagon form allowing users to easily dial in the torque of their bolts by hand. This is a great addition to any home gym! The range of color options allows you to customize YOUR gym. This is a great compliment for your accessories (Like The Vault) or general rack assembly hardware.  The Bolt Beannie should be added AFTER the bolt has been tightened.

The Overkill Nut is comprised of 2 plastic pieces fastened together over a nut with 2 black stainless screws and 2 black coated stainless locknuts to ensure the assembly stays together.

IMPORTANT: Thread Types (These are standard with most rack types. If you're unsure, please confirm with the manufacturer before purchase)

-M24-3

-1"-8

-M16-2.00

-5/8"-11

The 1in and M24 options use a Zinc Plated steel (Standard) while the 5/8in and M16 use stainless steel. Most Imported racks (such as REP) use Metric hardware. While US made racks (Such as Rogue) use Imperial hardware (inches).

Questions & answers

Ask a question
What does the Overkill Nut do?

It's an oversized hand nut with knurl on all six sides, so you can dial in the torque of your rack bolts by hand — no wrench needed.

Is there a real nut inside?

Yes — the knurled body is fastened over a genuine nut, so the threads doing the work are steel.

What does it pair well with?

It's a great companion for accessories like The Vault, or anywhere you want tool-free torque on general rack assembly hardware.
